Zelensky Declares Unawareness of Planned Talks in Saudi Arabia

The Ukrainian authorities are unaware of planned negotiations in Saudi Arabia, will not participate in them, and do not intend to recognize them. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a press briefing in the United Arab Emirates, commenting on reports about a meeting between representatives from Russia and the U.S. in Saudi Arabia.

“Ukraine will not participate. Ukraine knew nothing about it. Negotiations regarding Ukraine without Ukraine are deemed unproductive by Ukraine. And without our participation, we cannot recognize anything about us or any agreements. We will not recognize such agreements,” Zelensky said.

He emphasized that the upcoming talks are bilateral in nature, and Moscow and Washington “have the right to do so if they have bilateral issues.”
