Which Roads Are Closed and Impassable

The Rescuers Service informs that there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in the territory of Armenia.

Closed are the roads from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station to Kari Lake and Amberd Fortress in the Aragatsotn region.

The Vardenyats Pass (snow) is impassable for truck trailers (passable only with the use of snow chains).

There is black ice in places in the regions of Aragats, Aparan, Ashtarak, as well as on the Yerevan-Sevan, Goraik-Zanger, Tatev-Ltsen roads, and the area known as "Meghri Mountain".

Snow is falling in the Kotayk region and Aparan area. There is fog in the Ashtarak and Talin regions, as well as on the Lanjik-Mastara road.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.

Regarding Lars: According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Situations Department and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
