Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a phone conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. This was reported by TASS.

The conversation took place at the initiative of the American side.

Both sides agreed to mutually eliminate obstacles to the operation of foreign missions of Russia and the United States. An exchange of views occurred regarding ways to swiftly end the Obama administration's policy of tightening the activities of Russian diplomatic missions in the US, instituted in 2016.
