Border Delimitation Will Also Take Place with Georgia and Iran: 'Haykakan Zhamanak'
'Haykakan Zhamanak' newspaper reports: 'The newspaper has inquired with the Ministry of Defense to determine the specific points from which the delimitation process will commence. The ministry has requested additional time to respond to the inquiry, while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs replied as follows: 'According to the outcomes of the 11th meeting of the commission on delimitation and border security held on January 16, 2025, between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, the parties have continued their exchanges on the sequence of the sections for the further implementation of the delimitation works and have agreed to start the comprehensive delimitation works of the state border from the northern section, at the crossing point of the borders of Armenia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan, and then proceed southward from north to south until the border of the Republic of Armenia with the Islamic Republic of Iran,' said the response to the inquiry. This indicates that delimitation will also occur with Iran and Georgia.'
