Fire Breaks Out at Volunteers' Headquarters Cleaning Oil from Beaches in Anapa

A fire has erupted at the headquarters of volunteers cleaning oil from beaches in Anapa, according to reports from Telegram channels, which have also published footage from the scene of the fire.

According to Readovka, the "Zenith" resort, located near the village of Blagoveshchenskaya, is burning, where volunteers are based who are cleaning the beaches from oil following the wreck of Volgoneft tankers. Residential areas and the dining room are ablaze.

Preliminary information indicates that the fire has also spread to a warehouse containing humanitarian aid. A total of 79 firefighters and rescuers along with 25 pieces of equipment are working at the scene. Initial reports suggest that 26 people have been evacuated from the burning building.
