Pashinyan on Joining the EU
Mariam Z.
I am convinced that during the discussions in the National Assembly, the message was conveyed that we need to set the right expectations, so that people do not think that we have become EU members or EU membership candidates. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, referring to the draft law on the start of the process for Armenia's membership in the European Union.
“This is an important step that provides the people of Armenia with a very broad opportunity for choice, and it allows us to have a substantive discussion among our own elections. This is also an important component in terms of security. These balances impact the security environment as well,” he noted.
