Do You Know the Backstory of Arayik Harutyunyan's Coffee Drinking Photo? Simonyan

The Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, promises that one day he will tell the story behind the famous photo of Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan drinking coffee.

“Do you remember Arayik Harutyunyan's photo drinking coffee? Do you know the backstory of that photo? One day I will tell you,” he stated during a conversation with reporters.

Simonyan announced that during the war, various officials and military personnel from Artsakh provided different pieces of information.

“For each question, we received 4-5 contradicting pieces of information, but in the end, Arayik Harutyunyan's information mostly turned out to be correct,” noted Simonyan.

He further mentioned that they were told that the enemy had 'broken' the defenses in one direction, but later it was clarified that this was not the case. “Then we verified that the areas where we were told to be defended were actually empty,” added Alen Simonyan.
