Kanye West's Brand Clothing Website Ceases Operations

The website for American rapper Kanye West's clothing brand Yeezy has ceased operations after reportedly selling shirts with Nazi symbols, according to NBC.

In addition to other products, shirts featuring Nazi symbols were available on the Yeezy site. An advertisement aired during the Super Bowl showcased West directing customers to the brand's website. NBC notes that the Yeezy website went offline after retail software provider Shopify ended its collaboration with West.

“All merchants are responsible for adhering to our platform’s rules. Yeezy violated our terms, so we have removed them from Shopify’s customer list,” the company was quoted by NBC.

The company did not specify the exact violation committed by West's brand, but Shopify's terms of service reserve the right to restrict the sale of goods and services that it deems “unsafe, inappropriate, or offensive.”

Previously, the Yeezy website also featured shirts printed with the real name of rapper Diddy, who is currently in custody on multiple violent crime charges.
