Fire in Stepanavan Results in Fatality: Details

On February 8, at 04:42 AM, the Crisis Management Center of the Lori regional rescue service received a report of a fire that had broken out in one of the buildings in the Ashotaberd neighborhood of Stepanavan.

It was determined that the fire ignited on the 2nd floor and in the roof of the wooden building (approximately 450 square meters). A "Level 2" complexity fire was declared.

Rescue teams evacuated 27 residents from the building. The fire was contained by 11:22 AM.

Rescuers discovered the body of one citizen, and six individuals were transported to a medical center. Fire suppression efforts are ongoing.
