We Believe This is a Misunderstanding: Peskov
The Kremlin regrets the closure of the Russian House in Baku, considering it a misunderstanding and hopes to resolve the situation. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, during a briefing.
“We regret this matter. We believe this is a misunderstanding that will be successfully resolved,” he noted.
Peskov also mentioned that Moscow will discuss the operational aspects of the institution with its partners in Baku at various levels, possibly even at the highest level. The parties will resolve the existing situation guided by good relations, he added.
Earlier, the head of 'Rossotrudnichestvo', Evgeny Primakov, announced that the Azerbaijani authorities had demanded the closure of the Russian House in Baku due to the lack of legal registration.
