Jalal Harutyunyan Sentenced to Imprisonment

The former Minister of Defense of Artsakh, Jalal Harutyunyan, has been sentenced to 5.5 years in prison. On January 15, the court in the Syunik region found him guilty.

It is noteworthy that the charges relate to the casualties incurred during the enemy’s attack on the D-20 division of the 'Tsori' military unit on October 12, 2020. Jalal Harutyunyan was found guilty under the article concerning 'military official negligence committed during wartime or in combat conditions, which has inadvertently caused death.'
