Syunik Region Highlighted in Red by Embassies, Says Head of Tourism Committee

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia has sent a letter requesting the elimination of the red warning indicators regarding the safety of the Syunik region from international websites. This was announced by Lusine Gevorgyan, the Head of the Armenian Tourism Committee, during a press conference.

“At the end of November, I visited the Syunik region and met with representatives of companies involved in tourism and target marketing. We noted that life in Syunik is vibrant and developing well, irrespective of the fact that the region is marked in red on some international websites and the pages of embassies operating in Armenia. We are actively working with the respective countries on this matter,” stated Lusine Gevorgyan.
