Number of Tourists Visiting Armenia Last Year

During 2024, the Republic of Armenia welcomed 2,208,179 tourists. This was announced by the Chairperson of the Tourism Committee, Lusine Gevorgyan, during a press conference summarizing her first 100 days in office.

"In 2024, Armenia was visited by 2,208,179 tourists, which is a decrease of 4.6 percent compared to 2023, when 2,316,000 people visited the country. If we compare this to the economically most active and successful year of 2019, we had only 1.8 million tourists that year," Gevorgyan stated.

She noted that there has been a 16 percent growth in the tourism sector over the past five years.
