Years Ago, Armenian Revolutionary Federation Defector Hovik Aghazaryan's Eldest Son Joins Him
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports that Ivan Aghazaryan, the elder son of Hovik Aghazaryan—who was expelled from the ruling Civil Contract party—left the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) years ago and is also preparing to join his father and Hakob Aslanyan's newly established party, MASK, just like his younger brother, Hovsep Aghazaryan, who recently submitted his resignation from the Civil Contract party.
Aghazaryan stated to the journalist that the elder son is set to become a member of the party's executive board. He emphasized that the decision for his elder son to leave the ARF was made at his request: “When the ARF exited the coalition after the revolution, we, as a family, sat down and consulted on what to do. I said that either I should leave the Civil Contract, or he should leave the ARF, because it cannot be like this. When there was a coalition, it changed the situation; now, when we are on different political barricades, whether deliberately or inadvertently, our family conversations can turn into a reality that causes discomfort. Therefore, we decided that my son should leave the ARF.”
