Violence Erupts Among Employees at ZPMC, Several Detained

According to Sputnik Armenia, a brawl occurred in the Kajaran tailings area. Immediate action was taken, as confirmed by the spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Narek Sargsyan.

"Police officers have arrived at the scene and further developments have been prevented. At this time, there are 8 individuals who have been detained," said the spokesperson.

Earlier, it was reported that the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine has been on strike for the sixth consecutive day. Employees in protest demand a wage increase, deeming management's proposals unacceptable.

Today, negotiations lasting more than two hours took place between the management of the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine and the striking employees, but, like yesterday's meeting, no agreement was reached.
