Nikol Pashinyan Punishes Marukyan Through His Wife
The newspaper "Joghovit" reports that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has dismissed Tatev Matinyan, the wife of his former ally and teammate Edmon Marukyan. Matinyan was appointed as the director of the Armenian Center for Arbitration and Mediation in 2023, a position she obtained while Marukyan was serving as the ambassador with special assignments.
According to the newspaper's sources, Matinyan's dismissal was initiated by Pashinyan due to recent contradictions and protests from Marukyan against the government's statements and decisions. It can be said that Pashinyan has punished Marukyan through his wife.
It is worth noting that Taten Matinyan is also the president of the "Institute for Liberal Policy" NGO, which occasionally attempts to introduce projects that restrict freedom of speech.
