Argentina to Withdraw from WHO
Argentina's President Javier Milei has ordered the country to withdraw from the World Health Organization (WHO), according to reports by TASS, citing the official representative of the government, Manuel Adorni.
Among the reasons mentioned, he highlighted the "profound disagreements regarding health policy, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic." Adorni added that during that period, the actions of the organization, along with the then-President Alberto Fernández's government, led to "the longest lockdown in human history under conditions of a lack of independent political will from other states."
