How the "Grandpa" Supporting the CPC Attacks Journalists Filming Him: Office of Marutyan

The video shows how a "grandpa" supporting the ruling Civil Contract party aggressively attacks journalists recording him, curses at them, and even physically assaults them, blatantly violating public order. This was stated in a press release from the office of former mayor Haik Marutyan.

“It is noteworthy that this video is actively being circulated by pro-government propaganda outlets, trying to demonstrate that the 'citizen' is rejecting the boycott. We regret that a party that came to power with the genuine support of the people a few years ago is now relying on such individuals who physically attack people in public places, curse at them, and obstruct journalists' work. This is exactly the same situation that the previous government found itself in nearly 10 years ago.

We urge the prosecution to accept this video as a report of a crime, to identify this 'citizen,' and to initiate criminal proceedings.

We ask the tens of thousands of citizens who have joined the boycott not to fall for provocations and to continue the lawful boycott,” the statement reads.
