High Tariffs Between the U.S. and Mexico Suspended for One Month

High tariffs between the U.S. and Mexico have been suspended for one month. This was announced by Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum on her page on the X social media platform after a conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump.

The leaders of the two nations have reached a series of agreements. Accordingly, Mexico will immediately reinforce its northern border with 10,000 National Guard troops to prevent drug smuggling into the U.S. At the same time, the United States commits to work on preventing the smuggling of large weapons from Mexico.
