Champions of Figure Skating Found on Crashed Plane in Washington
Champions of figure skating were on the crashed plane in Washington, including Russian national team representatives Evgenia Shishkova and Vadim Naumov. This was reported by TASS.
"Our coaches Evgenia Shishkova and Vadim Naumov were on the crashed plane," a source from the agency stated.
The duo was traveling from Vichitay, where the U.S. Figure Skating Championship was taking place. In 1994, Shishkova and Naumov won the world championship in pairs figure skating.
At least 14 figure skaters were on the downed aircraft. According to U.S. authorities, there is no information available about survivors of the crash.
It is noteworthy that representatives from the Russian figure skating school were aboard the downed passenger plane in Washington.
