Controllers to Be Implemented in Public Transport - Armen Galjyan
Starting from February 1, controllers will be implemented in Yerevan's public transport. This was stated today, January 29, in an interview with NEWS.am by Armen Galjyan, the leader of the "Civil Contract" faction in the Yerevan Council, in response to the anticipated boycott against the increase in transport fares.
Galjyan did not specify whether citizens participating in the boycott would face fines. "Let us remind you that from February 1, it will no longer be possible to travel for 100 drams; citizens will have to either make use of any package offered by the city authorities or pay 150 drams for one trip. Numerous citizens have declared that they oppose this decision and will join the boycott," the media outlet reports.
