Chief of General Staff on the Situation at the Contact Line

The situation at the contact line is relatively stable. This was stated by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, Edward Asryan, during a speech at the Yerablur military pantheon.

“The bellicose statements of the Azerbaijani Minister of Defense have always concerned us; however, they only represent a small part of the operational assessment. We are closely monitoring the situation at the border and the statements being made,” said Asryan.

He added that citizens should have concerns because the adversary continues to remain on the sovereign territory of Armenia. “We are fulfilling the task set before us, moving along the path of peace, border delineation, and demarcation,” Asryan assured.

Today, January 28, marks the day of the formation of the Armenian Army. Our state’s regular army is now 33 years old.
