The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has launched a counter-terrorism operation in the city of Tulkarm on the western bank of the Jordan River. This was reported by TASS.
The IDF's press service made a relevant announcement, stating, "Some time ago, in the framework of counter-terrorism operations in Judea and Samaria (the Israeli name for the western bank of the Jordan River), the Israel Defense Forces and the Israel Border Police began a counter-terrorism operation in Tulkarm."
On January 21, the IDF's press service announced that Israeli security forces had started a large-scale counter-terrorism operation in the area of Jenin, located to the north of the Jordan River, which was named "Iron Wall." Earlier, it was reported that Israel is committed to the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and will not tolerate possible provocations from the Palestinian radical movement Hamas. This was stated by the official spokesperson of the Israeli army, Daniel Hagari, during a press briefing.
