Who Carried Out the Cyberattack on Tbilisi's Public Transport

The cyberattack on public transport in the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi, was executed by Georgian hackers connected to the Anonymous hacking group. In a statement on social media platform X, the group indicated that they have declared a 'cyberwar' against the illegal regime in Georgia, which is supported by Russia, for several weeks.

The attack on Tbilisi's public transport system yesterday, according to Anonymous, was a direct 'message to the corrupt government that has falsified elections and established an authoritarian regime.'

It is worth noting that on January 24, the fare payment system for buses and minibuses in Tbilisi was temporarily shut down, causing transport services to operate free of charge for passengers. The cause was attributed to an alleged cyberattack, as announced by the Tbilisi City Hall.
