UN Halts Travel to Houthi-Controlled Areas in Yemen
The United Nations has suspended all travel to areas in Yemen controlled by the Houthis after the group detained seven of its staff members. This was reported by Euronews.
Previously, the Houthis had captured UN personnel as well as individuals connected to the US embassy in Sana'a and humanitarian aid groups. “Yesterday, the authorities de facto in Sana'a detained another UN staff member working in areas under their control,” stated the UN announcement.
