Snow Falling, Black Ice Present: Some Roads Closed

The Rescue Service reports that there is a closed road in the territory of Armenia.

The roads from the "Amberd" high mountainous meteorological station to Kari Lake and Amberd Fortress are closed in the Aragatsotn region.

The Vardenyats mountain pass is passable for trucks with trailers, provided they use snow chains.

In the Vardenyats mountain pass and on the Sisian-Zanger road, black ice is present in some areas.

Snowfall is occurring in the section known as Saravan-Zanger and in the Vardenyats mountain pass.

According to information received from the Emergency Management Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the crisis management center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.

The Rescue Service advises drivers to travel exclusively on winter tires.
