US Will Achieve Lower Oil Prices, Donald Trump

The US will achieve lower oil prices from Saudi Arabia and OPEC, including applying pressure on Russia regarding the Ukraine issue. This was stated by US President Donald Trump during a video link with participants of the World Economic Forum in Davos, according to TASS.

"I also intend to ask Saudi Arabia and OPEC to reduce the price of oil," Trump said. He asserted that "if the price goes down, the war between Russia and Ukraine will immediately end, but at this moment the price is quite high for this war to continue." Trump noted that OPEC countries should have lowered oil prices a long time ago, claiming that if they had done so, the conflict in Ukraine would have already been resolved.

The US president also mentioned that Saudi Arabia is currently investing about $600 billion in North America, but he will ask Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud to "round that figure up to $1 trillion."
