Trump on Ending the Ukrainian Conflict

U.S. President Donald Trump has instructed his special envoy to Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, to aim for an end to the Ukrainian conflict within 100 days. This was reported by the Wall Street Journal.

The article notes that "virtually no one" believes he can achieve this. It is mentioned that the newly elected U.S. president intends to personally oversee the progress of the negotiations regarding Ukraine.

Just a day prior, Trump stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin is "destroying Russia" by refusing to strike a deal to end the war in Ukraine.

"He needs to make a deal. I think he is ruining Russia by not making a deal. Russia is going to have big problems. Many thought this war would end in a week. I think it would be very good if he ended this war," Trump said during a press conference after his inauguration.
