Deputy Minister's Son Exempted from Military Service: 'Hayastani Jamanak'

The authorities proclaim that everyone must undergo mandatory military service. However, the son of the Deputy Minister did not qualify for service under any provision of the law. This is reported by ‘Hayastani Jamanak’ newspaper.

“In connection with the recently exempted individuals from the army due to connections, we would like to remind you of the son of the Deputy Minister of Health, Lena Nanushyan. ‘Hayastani Jamanak’ has received information that Lena Nanushyan, taking advantage of her position, gathered such documents regarding her son's health condition that allowed her to finally exempt him from military service on the grounds of being unfit for service due to health issues.

At that time, we did not receive any clear comments from the Ministry of Health. In addition to this scandal, there is another one: Lena Nanushyan is doing everything possible to strengthen her position. It is rumored that as soon as Minister Anahit Avanesyan leaves her post, she aims to secure the ministerial chair for herself.

In other words, Anahit Avanesyan's deputy is acting against her and is secretly planning together with the director of the National Institute of Health, Alexander Bazarchyan.

'Hayastani Jamanak' attempted to gather comments from Nanushyan but to no avail,” the newspaper writes.
