Trump Administration to Make Decisions on Iran
The newly elected president of the United States, Donald Trump, is set to have his administration make decisions regarding Iran in the coming month. This was stated by Trump's future National Security Advisor, Mike Waltz, in an interview with CBS News.
Waltz expressed that Iran is currently in a weakened and "unfavorable position thanks to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's leadership." He noted, "Everyone said that the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah would be excessively escalatory, too provocative to carry out. And you know what? They did it."
He added, "And this has created a real opportunity in Lebanon. It has led to the downfall of Assad and his brutal dictatorship. It has resulted in Hamas being completely isolated." He indicated that Iran's air defense has been destroyed. "So, now is the time to make these significant decisions. And we will do so in the next month," Waltz concluded.
