Russia Remains Armenia's Largest Economic Partner: Kopirkin
Russia has been and continues to be Armenia's largest economic partner. This was stated on January 17 during the award ceremony for the national competition 'Best Russian Language Teacher in Armenia 2024' by Sergey Kopirkin, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Russia to Armenia.
According to him, Russian nationals constitute the main contingent of tourists visiting Armenia. He added that this indicates that the Russian language remains a significant factor in both the development of bilateral relations and the strengthening of Armenia's potential.
Kopirkin noted that the world is changing, and Armenia and Russia are sovereign states. At the same time, the ambassador expressed confidence that the mission of the Russian language retains its significance, particularly in practical terms, as Armenia and Russia are united by strong ties in many areas that are crucial not only for the states but also for the lives of people and families.
“One of the priority directions for Russia is the preservation and strengthening of the Russian language worldwide, and in our fraternal countries, such as Armenia, this is imperative,” he emphasized. He assured that Russia takes this issue very seriously. According to him, the holding of this event at the Russian Embassy in Armenia is a good sign that in the coming year, Russia and Armenia will achieve more in terms of developing bilateral relations.
