Information for Our Citizens Traveling to St. Petersburg
Lilit T.
Levon Azizyan, the director of the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center, informs through a Facebook post that heavy snowfall is occurring in the Leningrad region.
"Information for our citizens traveling to St. Petersburg: At Pulkovo Airport, passengers are currently waiting several hours for departures. There are 30 aircraft awaiting takeoff. Simultaneously, many flights to St. Petersburg are being redirected to alternative airports due to the heavy snowfall," reported Rosaviatsia.
The cause is the 'Charlie' cyclone that entered the city yesterday, bringing significant snow, which is expected to continue at least until this evening," Azizyan wrote.
