Ice Crystals Observed in the Air Are Not Snowfall: Surenyan

Dear citizens, the ice crystals observed in the air in Yerevan and various parts of the republic are not snowfall but rather a result of fog condensation (sublimation). This was stated by Gagik Surenyan, deputy director of the Hydro-Meteorology and Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

For the upcoming days, meteorologists have forecasted dry weather without precipitation. From January 11-14, overcast conditions are expected. On January 15, precipitation is anticipated during the daytime, in the form of snow in mountainous and foothill areas. The information is provided by the Hydro-Meteorology and Monitoring Center of the Republic of Armenia.

Today, fog is expected in Shirak, Aragatsotn, and Kotayk regions, with black ice on the roads. The air temperature will rise by 3-5 degrees during the day tomorrow. From today until January 14, dry weather is anticipated in Yerevan. Precipitation is expected on January 15. The temperature during the day will range from -1 to +1 degrees, while in the evening hours, it will register from 0 to +2 degrees.
