This Also Means Preventing War: Kirakosyan

I do not have information about Armenia's proposals to Baku; that falls under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This was stated by Armenia's representative at the ECHR, Yeghishe Kirakosyan, during a conversation with reporters in the National Assembly, in response to a question about the two unresolved points.

"I do not think that the ongoing legal disputes between the two countries can obstruct the peace process. In my opinion, the very essence of legal disputes is the establishment of peace. When states initiate legal disputes, they resolve disagreements in a civilized manner, which also means preventing war," Kirakosyan noted.

In response to the question of whether Armenia could comply with Azerbaijan's demands and withdraw the legal disputes from international forums, Kirakosyan said, "There is no need to rush to provide comments on this matter. Azerbaijan also has cases against Armenia; it is not only Armenia that has cases against Azerbaijan. The question arises, if Azerbaijan is confident in its legal positions, why is it proposing the idea of halting judicial processes?"
