France Declares High Alert Due to Storm
France has been hit by the storm "Florian," prompting the declaration of a climate danger "orange" alert in 21 departments, which is the second highest level of danger. This information has been reported by Meteo France.
Meteorologists warn that the storm will pass through the republic from west to east, spanning from the Vendée department to the Ardennes department. It has been noted that the first impacts of the disaster in the western part of France have already seen wind gusts recorded up to 34 m/s.
Due to the threat of fallen trees, several agencies have decided to limit train traffic during daylight hours.
