Four Russian Citizens Arrested for Planning Terrorism

The Federal Security Service has arrested four Russian citizens who planned to carry out a terrorist act using homemade explosive devices in places of mass gathering in Yekaterinburg. This was reported by the press service of the FSB of Russia.

According to the statement, “The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation has arrested four citizens of Russia, born in 2007 and 2008, who share the ideas of a terrorist organization banned in the territory of Russia and were planning to carry out a terrorist act using a homemade explosive device in places of mass gathering in Yekaterinburg.”

The press service clarified that two of the arrested individuals were also involved in the arson of the operational vehicle of the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Sverdlovsk region. It was noted that components for homemade explosive devices, as well as communication means containing instructions for their preparation, were confiscated from them.
