23 Chinese Aircraft and 6 Ships Approach Taiwan
The armed forces of Taiwan have recorded 23 Chinese aircraft and 6 ships approaching the island. This was reported by the Taiwanese Ministry of Defense, according to TASS.
It is noted that the Chinese vessels were spotted “before 06:00 this morning (02:00 Yerevan time).” “16 aircraft crossed the median line and entered Taiwan's northern, southwestern, and eastern air defense zones. We are monitoring the situation and responding accordingly,” the report stated.
Taiwan has been governed by its own administration since 1949 when remnants of the Kuomintang forces, led by Chiang Kai-shek (1887-1975), fled there after losing in the Chinese Civil War. Beijing considers Taiwan to be one of the provinces of the People's Republic of China.
