Israeli Defense Forces Target Houthi Military Sites in Yemen
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) struck military targets of Yemen's Houthi rebels on Thursday, responding to their attacks on Israeli territory. This statement was made by Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, as reported by TASS.
"Israel has targeted the Houthi terrorist organization's positions in Yemen. These actions follow the continuous assaults by Houthis on Israel since October 7, 2023, including missile strikes and drone attacks in the past week," Sa'ar's words were quoted by the Israeli Foreign Ministry's press service.
Sa'ar referred to the Houthis as the "center of Iran's axis of evil." He stated that the Houthi's "devastating attacks" on international shipping routes "undermine global stability." He concluded, "We will not tolerate unprovoked aggression by a terrorist army operating 2,000 kilometers away from us." Earlier, Israeli Air Force fighter jets had attacked military sites of the Houthi regime.
