Road Conditions Update

The Rescue Service reports that there are closed and difficult-to-pass roads within the territory of Armenia.

The road from the high mountainous weather station "Amberd" in the Aragatsotn region to Lake Karı is closed. The Vardenyats Pass is impassable for all types of vehicles, and for trucks with trailers, passage is only possible with snow chains. The Artashavan-Tzilkhar road is also impassable for all types of vehicles.

The twists near Spitak and the roads from Stepanavan to Vanadzor and from Vanadzor to Dilijan are difficult for trucks with trailers. In the villages of Tzilkhar, at the Vardenyats Pass, in Dilijan, and in the villages of Lanjanist, Lusashogh, and Lanjarr, there is snow. In the areas known as the “Chayni Twists” and on the roads of Syunik province, there are patches of black ice.

On the Yerevan-Sevan highway, there is fog in the villages of Mayakovski, Balakhovit, Jrvajev, and Dzoraghbyur.

Regarding the Lars Situation
The road from Stepantsminda to Lars is open to all types of vehicles, according to the information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Management Department and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively using winter tires.
