No Prime Minister Has Been Better for Azerbaijan than Pashinyan, Says Zatuliny
Konstantin Zatuliny, the first deputy chairman of the State Duma’s Committee on CIS Affairs, commented on Armenian-Russian relations and the negotiation process regarding a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan in an interview with Alpha News.
“Pashinyan, in any case, has not traveled to Russia, preferring remote dialogue. He and his government are taking various steps to prove that they want to break away from Russia and shift towards the West. I believe that we are unlikely to achieve anything if we want loyalty from our ally Armenia, as long as Pashinyan remains in charge of Armenia. At the same time, while dismantling the military-political alliance with Russia, he will continue attempts to maintain economic ties to gain advantages. We are not yet making demands on the Armenian government, but I do not think this will continue indefinitely, as it is already clear that this government is heading in a different direction,” Zatuliny stated.
