Biden Regrets Exiting Presidential Race

Outgoing US President Joe Biden regrets having exited the presidential race and believes he would have defeated Donald Trump in last month's elections, despite negative polling results, sources from the White House have reported.

It has been reported that the US president also stated that he made a mistake in appointing Merrick Garland as Attorney General, as Garland, a former judge on the US Court of Appeals, was slow to hold Trump accountable for his role in the January 6th insurrection when he was leading the Department of Justice, which aggressively pursued Biden's son, Hunter.

Biden declined to run for re-election, and he was replaced as the Democratic candidate by Vice President Kamala Harris after pressure from fellow Democrats. Harris's candidacy generated a surge of enthusiasm and improved polling, but ultimately ended in a decisive defeat in the Electoral College and a victory for Republican Donald Trump.
