What stage is the visa liberalization process at? This question was addressed by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Armenia, Arpine Sargsyan, during an interview on Public Television with Petros Ghazaryan.

“Official launch has been granted to the operational phase from the perspective of visa liberalization. This means that both sides have a strong commitment to develop an action plan that will allow us to understand what progress is being made in which direction and when we can expect the actual visa liberalization process,” she said.

According to the minister, this issue focuses on several pillars, including public safety, personal data protection, and more. “Visa liberalization provides the opportunity to introduce proper standards in various areas in Armenia. We have very good experience that our partners appreciate the reforms that have been implemented so far; this has provided the basis for moving from the level of conversations to the operational phase,” she noted.
