It is the Authority's Duty to Warn Zurabishvili: Kobakhidze

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, has stated that he does not anticipate an escalation of tensions following Mikheil Saakashvili's inauguration on December 29.

He excluded the possibility that Salome Zurabishvili will leave her presidential residence, as that would constitute a criminal offense punishable by 3 to 15 years of imprisonment.

Kobakhidze emphasized that it is the authority’s duty to warn Zurabishvili in this regard to avoid an unacceptable situation of forcibly removing her from the residency and transferring her to a correctional facility.
