Cancellation of Flights from Baku Announced in Chechnya with Money Refund Option
Grozny and Makhachkala airports have spoken about the possibility of refunding the money for tickets due to the temporary cancellation of flights by Azerbaijan Airlines from Baku. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
On Wednesday, Azerbaijan Airlines announced the cancellation of all flights from Baku to Grozny and from Baku to Makhachkala until the investigation into the crash of an Azerbaijani passenger plane near Aktau, Kazakhstan, is completed.
It is noted that on December 25, an Embraer 190 aircraft of Azerbaijan Airlines crashed and caught fire near Aktau, Kazakhstan, while performing a flight from Baku to Grozny. The incident occurred close to the airport. There were 62 passengers and 5 crew members on board. According to the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan, 32 people survived.
