VIDEO: Community Leader Attempts to Clear Snow with Fire in St. Petersburg

The head of the northern community in St. Petersburg, Yuri Kulikov, has demonstrated an unconventional method of clearing snow from the city. He literally set fire to snowdrifts on site. Kulikov recorded the process and shared it on his Vkontakte page.

“Of course, we would like to clear all the snow and ice in our city with fire. But that’s unrealistic. It’s much more important to have a systematic approach from municipal services and the involvement of indifferent citizens,” noted the community leader.
