Miller on Armenian-Turkish and Armenian-Azerbaijani Relations

The spokesperson for the U.S. State Department, Matthew Miller, addressed the developments in U.S. foreign policy and current events, including Armenian-Turkish relations, Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiations, and the issues concerning Armenian prisoners held in Azerbaijani jails.

"We have periodic communications with officials from both sides regarding relations between Armenia and Turkey," Miller stated.

"We also consistently urge Azerbaijan to respect the human rights and fundamental freedoms of all people living in the country, including prisoners. We always take steps when we do not see that basic human rights are being respected in Azerbaijan, and we will continue to pursue this policy," the State Department spokesperson added.
