Upcoming hours may be decisive: Hamas issues statement
The Palestinian Hamas movement has agreed to release Israeli hostages who require medical assistance, as well as elderly individuals and female soldiers held in the enclave. This was reported by Al Arabiya television.
According to information, the upcoming hours may be crucial for negotiations surrounding Gaza. It is noted that the Palestinian movement has abandoned its demand for a complete halt to military operations in the enclave during the first phase of the ceasefire agreement. However, residents of northern Gaza must be allowed to return to their homes without additional searches by Israeli soldiers.
Meanwhile, the Ynet portal, citing an anonymous senior member of the movement, stated that Hamas and Israel have made “unprecedented progress” in negotiations regarding a ceasefire and the release of hostages in the Gaza Strip.
