Video: Moment of Explosion Near Residential Building in Moscow

The moment of an explosion near a residential building on Ryazansky Avenue in Moscow, which resulted in the deaths of General Kirilov and his aide.

Earlier, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation confirmed the death of Lieutenant General Igor Kirilov, head of the Chemical Defense Forces of the RF Armed Forces, during an explosion that occurred in southeastern Moscow.

"According to the investigation, an explosive device was detonated on the morning of December 17 on Ryazansky Avenue, placed in a garbage bin near the entrance of a residential building. As a result of the explosion, Igor Kirilov and his aide were killed," the statement read.

A criminal case has been initiated regarding the murder of two servicemen. Investigators, criminologists, and operational services are working at the scene.
