ChatGPT to be Available for Free to All Users
OpenAI (the developer of ChatGPT) will make the search feature available to all users through ChatGPT. This was announced in the company’s statement.
The search feature will be accessible on chatgpt.com and within the company’s applications. It has been noted that users of ChatGPT Plus and Team can already try searching on chatgpt.com or download it for Chrome.
"All users of ChatGPT Plus and Team, as well as those on the SearchGPT waitlist, will gain access. Enterprise and Edu users will have access over the next few weeks. In the coming months, we will present it for free to all users," the statement added.
At the beginning of April, OpenAI opened access to the ChatGPT chatbot for all users without the need for registration. Meanwhile, registration allows users to access additional options, such as saving and viewing conversation history and using voice features.
OpenAI develops and licenses machine learning technologies. Two months after the release of the new pre-trained generative model ChatGPT-4 in March 2023, its active user base reached 100 million. Microsoft has invested $13 billion in the development of OpenAI.
