During a two-week period without accountability, a total of 693 units of rolling stock were operated in accordance with the planned quantity on routes, achieving 100% of the planned amount. This was stated by the director of "Yerevan Electric Transport" LLC, Sargis Bejanian, during a session of the Yerevan City Hall's executive board.

"During this period, the city electric transport service was used by 376,224 passengers, of which 24,188 made their payments through the validator's verification device, totaling 6.64 percent," he noted.

City Mayor Tigran Avinyan responded by stating, "In fact, the issue related to this percentage is significant, and as we approach January 1, we need to implement the transition as smoothly as possible. Therefore, I am expecting additional proposals to be provided by the relevant department, the deputy mayor, and the LLCs, because even the 36% of the Yerevan Bus LLC is still not a sufficient figure for full transition to 100%. We have come from 0% to this 36% in just a couple of weeks, while Mr. Bejanian's figure is much lower. We need to ensure this transition is managed well, both promptly and in terms of quantity, as a large number of people are transitioning to an entirely new system.

The fact is that 6% are using this system, while 94% are still only using coins, and this 94% needs to transition to the new system at 100%. In the Metro, we have successfully transitioned, and now 100% are using the system; however, we encountered some turbulent difficulties in reaching that point. Nevertheless, we have transit points there that simply do not allow alternatives. We have approximately 15 days to carry out this work, and it must be completed by the New Year.
